​Liesl is the one who started it all. She is my first Vizsla, my heart dog and the reason I fell in love with this wonderful breed.  She is the foundation of my breeding program and an exemplary example of the versatility and heart of the breed. ​Liesl was originally brought into our home to be a "pet" and companion dog  for our horse farm. We had no real aspirations of showing her, but a dog-handler friend of ours talked us into giving it a try, convincing us that she had the chops to be a show dog. After all, she was bred for it! He certainly called it...She hit the dog show scene in style by going Best of Breed over 11 Specials (a total entry of 50+) her first weekend out and at the tender age of 7 months. She finished her Championship quickly and then attained her Grand Championship the day before her first birthday.  Liesl had a short show career, but in that, collected multiple Best of Breed wins, Select Bitch at the TBVC Specialty on the competitive Brooksville circuit, she made the cut at the Eukanuba National Championships in Orlando, FL, finishing a top 6 bitch out of a sea of recognized Specials, and although she wasn't in the ribbons, she had the honor of floating across the green carpet that is the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City, NY. ​We decided to retire Liesl from the show ring at the age of 2, but her list of accomplishments is far from complete.  Liesl has gone on to be my partner in an array of canine companion sports including agility, rally and obedience.  One of her greatest accomplishments was placing 8th out of an entry of 40 in the Iron Dog Competition at the 2018 Vizsla Club of America National Specialty. She is a fantastic example of the versatility and ability of this amazing breed.  I am honored to be her partner every time we step into the ring together. ​Liesl also had success in the whelping box. Her first and only litter -- My "Perfect 10 Litter," have followed in her footsteps by earning AKC Championships and International Championships.  They also have earned titles and earned placements in Field Trials and Hunt Tests, titles in Rally, Obedience, Dock Diving, Barn Hunt, with several training for Agility. These dogs have gone on to be wonderful companions to their families with one taking the extra step to provide medical assistance as a Service Dog.  Liesl's puppies exemplify the temperaments that I strive to breed in my Vizslas and I couldn't think of a better foundation bitch to pass along the wonderful attributes that we look for in this phenomenal breed.
